CHALK RESTAURANT

The Project
A beautiful, cherished building in the heart of Wokingham.
I was asked to bring the site to life by a new restaurant group. The site threw up challenges due to being listed. So there was a gentle balance of adjusting the site where possible and making it work operationally, whilst also respecting the heritage of the building. The simple design celebrated the buildings beautiful details, the warm tones were picked to enhance restored solid floor. Whilst joinery was built around existing structures to keep the budget low.
The Client
“After working with Elise in my previous role, it was a no-brainer that we would go to her for her expertise and vision, given that the renovation of one of our sites saw a 30% uplift in sales post her magic touch on the interior.
When it came to my own startup business restaurant, Beau Riley went above and beyond when helping me bring the vision in our heads into a reality. She was incredibly personable, taking the time to understand exactly what we wanted to achieve. She guided us through what can seem like a daunting process, step by step, ensuring we felt comfortable and confident throughout. Elise also provided us with scaled drawings for bespoke joinery, that we could hand directly to the carpenters or professionals, making the entire process seamless. Additionally, she provided us with mood-boards, renders and 3D drawings, allowing us to truly visualise and perfect the space before implementation.
As our vision altered, she was very accommodating, seamlessly integrating our new requests into her design. Her expertise and attention to detail have been invaluable, and I couldn’t recommend Beau Riley highly enough!”
